tigress
in manga ruby kimonos
and coral
laces
gone
from the mirror room
of jagged despair
cut rosier hope
with
fireflying katanas
and
lunarsong cassis
put on visual kei make-up
and wage 88 wars
against desire
a
fuzzy substance
of
crawling fear
shall be
caged in the temple of sakuraknives
bell the cat in endless rain
laying in longing
beyond dawns and promenades
sublime
oh
moonlight
kiss her
oh Fuji snow
fall
sleepwalker
a buttercup little passionate thing
scarlet glass corsets
pierce your lotus flesh
as you long to fix
pieces of sky
with
blued heavy guitar kisses
cascading
like a
rainbow magic orchestra
oh
(moonlight)
don’t reveal her
(oh Fuji snow)
fall

inspired by going mad and lots of j-rock/pop songs and their titles, this for example

Lovely : )) I feel inspired to reassemble some of your words in another way (hoping you won’t beat me for this) …
despair
mirrors itself
in lunar rooms
lace knives cut the edges
of fear
envisioning sakura promenades
sleepwalking in a buttercup
piercing cascading moonbeams
with a thread
to horizonal yearning
i like this much more than my version
)
thank you dear friend, it’s good to know my words can still inspire.
a rainbow magic orchestra….ha…this is a fun read…reminds me a bit of corso with the unexpected word choices….but its got rhythm and sings….magic….cool write…would love to hear it…
Felt like I just fell into someone’s dream. Your descriptors are amazing. This piece is delicious.
This made me smile..just lovely, Yelena…a wonderful poem to see me off to sleep with. Thank you, my friend

Lovely poem, Yelena !
It reminds me of Anna Montgomery’s wild kingdom

both riffing on japanese aesthetics =)
A symphony in words. It worked its magic on me, Yelena. Bravo! Well done.
gorgeous!
I know a few people who could relate to this…
scarlet glass corsets
pierce your lotus flesh
as you long to fix
This makes me think of a geisha.
Love these:
“tigress
in manga ruby kimonos
and coral
laces
gone”
“wage 88 wars
against desire”
And oh, your last two stanzas. Especially the last. Surreal. Other worldly. For me, it mirrors the desire and denial of a geisha and the man who wants her, the man whom she wants and cannot have.
I feel like a dreamwalker stepping into dreams woven by others. This is beautiful and I agree, surreal.
