inspired by a wonderful girl Nata from the group of children with autism i dance with.
and i think of blooming meadows, pure ponds
and how much i’ve still to learn.
she sees the earth as a miracle, our breaths as unique flowers,
draws the sky as her best friend and dreams to fly like an eagle.
her waltz reminds of a way
we accept pain and still open ourselves to the dawning sun
in spite of a sad chant that doesn’t fade
while a new song unfolds its glowing wings inside.
her steps and graceful hands write beautiful letters
to galaxies answering with a stellar smile –
an invisible butterfly’s flutter that surrounds her
mapped on the land
of a Whole being born in shine.
and when she talks
i hear a moonlight sonata
played along pearls of august rain on summer pavements,
a sigh of cotton clouds
and a soft murmur of doves
tendering precious moments that stay in the heart.
she wants to live in a valley
where people, animals and birds embrace,
and i just long to protect her
from all the wars, hatred, cold minds,
to create a dance
for her fragile soul to grow wings and float
along the peaceful waves
to embrace blessed shores.
