Odette and Swann

out of every teardrop
a cattleya orchid grows
and every scar is healed
by candle’s flame
bathing the soul in waves
of elusive time

the weight of silence
leads to new dawn
as a sonata’s slow motif
merges with whisperings
of the snowflakes’ choir

and after a goodbye kiss
they learn how to breathe
